The Lyrica Chamber Choir Welcomes You

flower 5

The Lyrica choir of Barrie is a 35-voice auditioned adult choir based in Barrie, Ontario. This skilled and committed group presents artistically varied choral programs with a high degree of musicianship to the community of Barrie. Three annual concerts cover a wide range of repertoire, from Renaissance music to popular choral arrangements. The December Christmas concert is followed by two further musical evenings, in March and May respectively. Concerts are held at Burton Avenue United church, which Lyrica values for its beautiful acoustics.

Lyrica takes an active role in furthering the musical life of the community through workshops and a choral high school scholarship program. Four young choristers are selected annually to participate in the choir on scholarship. These young musicians bring enthusiasm and talent to the choir.

Lyrica aims to nurture music in many shapes and forms in the extended Barrie community, striving toward an ever-higher standard of performance for its audiences.
